A spark. An impulse.
A concept that suddenly pops into your head and you continue reaching for it until you are satisfied with the result.

In the case of the mysterious musical alchemist Lars Andersen, who producers under the moniker Bork, this spark was the concept of the EP that we would like to introduce to you. The name of it is Retro Indulgence & Assorted Rhythms. And, as you might've guessed it, it strongly takes inspiration from retrowave / synthwave style of music... in really unorthodox way. Carefully crafted synths and analog vibes send us this bittersweet feeling of nostalgia, while introducing melodic influences of soundtrack and elemental influences of the entire genre of electronic music, giving us a new hybrid of sounds and details, that quickly takes us somewhere far away the moment you press the play button.

From the first unsettling and graceful notes of Transport and until the end, we realise that this is an odyssey that keeps expanding and growing on our ears, the more we listen to it, the more subtle and pleasant details we notice, such as glitches, percussions, pretty licks, foleys, fascinating rhythms and time signatures, while maintaining that unsimple structure of a soundtrack that can be so well integrated into the electronic genre.

With the remixes from our label residents - Leon Ross, Envelope and Grabben, the gap between the genres tightens up even more and the entire EP is being wrapped in one red string that makes it a perfection of the EP, without a doubt. A musical diamond, sort of, shining, sparkling, reflecting the light and the elements that are projected on it.

The shine of this spark continues to glow as we go further and further on our musical adventure. And so, it continues.
