about

“Is it a star, is it an asteroid? No, it's Planet Orbin!”

This planet is one’s own inner world that is filled with ambitions, ideas, decisions and knowledge that will continue to expand, develop and grow into something much more bigger than it is right now.

Introducing Planet Orbin EP, the concept of which is a “man-made globe”, consisting of diverse sounds that are spread across diiferent “hemispheres”, made by dutch electronic musician Robin Van Taarling, who, ironically, goes by the name Orbin. Not being a stranger to our label and community, we have already introduced him with the release of Mosaic Vol. 2, which was a starting point of our work with Robin. After countless hours working with Open Outlets team on the concept of this release, we are glad to finally present the form of this EP, what this concept was shaped into: Orbin’s own earth.

What you should know about this particular release is that it’s a mini-album consisting of eight tracks, two of which are remixes that were done by our talented friend Youri Chimera, the releases of which you’ve already seen before on our label. The theme of this release is exploration of the bizarre world of electronic genres, which is connected to the form of this EP, simply put - travelling across the genres, “continents” of this globe, this trip takes around 30 minutes and was structured by our two amazing guides, Robin and Youri, with their magical touch: from techno, IDM, house to drum & bass, dubstep, breakbeat and garage/2-step, you will find everything here. This is a release that you should just descend into without any more unneeded explanation.

Welcome to Planet Orbin. We hope you enjoy your stay.
And, as always, thank you for staying with us on our endless journey.
