An EP, the state of which could be described as "Frozen Fire".
Cruel, cold, unforgiving, yet passionate, hot, mettlesome, as if something is about to flame out of the ice-cold barrier.
From the mysterious wildlife slavian country called Russia, from the far of it's north-east region, comes a new promising talent under the moniker Artsever. Living in completely different conditions, in the depths of the most mysterious country, Artsever's tastes were forged by the influences of completely different genres, from trance and house to dubstep and IDM. Having a wide palette to experiment with and a lot of freedom & passion to learn, it's no surprise that the level of such producers grows rapidly.
Casting a solid obsidian, with permafrost and flames, all four tracks are a prime example of a massive development spike in one's mastery. Being able to assume the role of jack-of-all-trades, Artsever showcases a new side of his, a side that hasn't been seen before by anyone else, atmospheric, cold, unforgiving, gruesome. The first track, "Mettlesome" gives us an introduction to the path that we are about to embark upon: taking inspirations from techstep, halftime, drumstep, neurofunk and melting it into one pot gives us a new element, which, upon your touching would melt your skin away. The path continues with "Confusion and Calmness", combining three unsettling feelings of calmness, premonition and danger that approaches one on the first listening. Black Lair continues the sound tradition, set by "Mettlesome", the track puts us into a dark hall, full of colourless void that has something crawling around it, something... that is about to murder someone if approached. "Killer Instinct" unleashes that beast, finishes us with bloody mess on our hands, that is experimental trap, in combination of all elements, mentioned before, into one, cold-hearted creature made of steal, a biological weapon made for murdering purposes only, that is alive and moving, killing machine. That "something" is about to feed itself with it's listeners, and that creature is "Mettlesome".
The question arises. How does one develops style and quality that fast? The answer is simple: one should just look around and reconsider his possibilities and knowledge they currently possess, maybe it's time to not spam their own portfolio with nothing but hopes and dreams and move to an actual progression, to that endless road of learning and discovery, that would have even more precious experience to find aside of what one has right now, that new spark of a mettlesome person that is hiding in everyone.
